Behind the Scenes
Stage 1 - Choose your photoshoot package
So you'd like a photoshoot with me? That's great to hear! The first step is choosing which package best suits you and your requirements.
Once you have decided on your package, it's up to you to choose the season you would like your photoshoot in. Spring and summer is always a popular time of the year as there is beautiful green backgrounds, flowers blooming and gorgeous lighting (most of the time!) But don't discount autumn, it's my favourite time of the year to shoot, the autumnal colours look lovely in photos and golden hour is amazing at this time of year. You may not think so but winter photoshoot can be beautiful too, the trees may be bare but the morning light in a frost makes photos look like a winter wonderland.

Stage 2 - Get in touch
After you've decided when you'd like your shoot and which package you'd like, please get in touch, I can't wait to hear from you. Feel free to ask any questions you have at this stage and also tell me abit about your pets / horses - I love getting to know more about the animal that I'll be seeing through my camera. Together we'll then set a date and time that suits us both, I will keep an eye on the weather coming up to your photoshoot date so that if we need to rearrange thanks to the British weather we can.
To secure your chosen date I require a 25% deposit on your photoshoot package. I do offer payment plans so if you would prefer to pay in instalments, we can sort something out. I will also send you my order documents so you can check that you are happy with my terms and conditions. If you have any questions after reading them, please let me know. Please note, full payment for the photoshoot will have to be paid before the day of the shoot.
Stage 3 - Preparing for your photoshoot
I know a lot of people get nervous ahead of their photoshoot about what will happen and what if their pet isn't too cooperative, but I am here to settle those nerves! Honestly you have nothing to worry about, I have been around animals my whole life so I understand that every animal is different and that all that's needed is a bit of patience. The most important thing is capturing your pet / horse's quirky personality so leave that bit up to me!
A few weeks before your shoot I will send you a welcome guide. The guide includes some helpful tips on how to get the most out of your photoshoot, from choosing locations, getting your pet ready, what to wear - it's all in there. It's also a great time to think about any specific images you would like of your pet, take a look through my galleries and let me know which ones are your favourite so I can create something similar for you.

Stage 4 - The day of your shoot
Now for the best part - the day of your shoot! I'll meet you at your chosen location, whether that's your home, a local park or your yard. Before I start taking photos, I'll spend some time chatting to you and getting to know your pet / horse so that they feel happy and comfortable with me. If you would like your photoshoot indoors I'm happy to do this as I know not all pets can go outside, we'll put the natural light in your house to good use, don't you worry. If it is possible I would advise having at least part of your photoshoot outdoors so your photos will have beautiful lighting and so your animal has more space to express themselves. If your pet has a favourite spot in your garden or a favourite toy, let me know as these can make the most memorable photos for owners.
Whilst shooting I will keep an eye out for settings at your location that would make a great photo. We will have plenty of time during your shoot to have photos of you with your animals if that is something you would like. At the end of your shoot I'll discuss what happens next and when you can expect your gallery to be edited and online.
Stage 5 - Viewing your images
After your photoshoot I will professionally edit your images in Adobe Lightroom within 2 weeks of your shoot. They will be uploaded to an online private gallery in my website client area for you to view and choose your favourites. This is my favourite part of the process as I love hearing your feedback on your photos and finding out which images you love! Please note all photos within the gallery at this stage will be a medium quality watermarked version. Take your time choosing your images and then depending on your photoshoot package let me know which images you would like as prints and digitals. If at this point you would like to purchase additional digitals or prints please let me know
Again depending on what is included in your photoshoot package, your photos will be printed and posted via tracked UK postage.

Stage 6 - Additional products

As you know, prints are already included in all of my photoshoot packages, however if you feel like treating yourself, I do offer additional products. Credit towards additional products are included in the different photoshoot packages. Additional products include multi aperture photo frame with mount, aluminium wall prints and either the simple or the fancy photobook. Investing in additional products is a great way to make the most of your photoshoot. Personally, I love a photobook, they're a simple way of having all your beautiful images on display and a great way to reflect back on memories in the years to come.
If you decided you would like to purchase additional products, please let me know. Especially in the case of photobooks, I will keep you in the loop as I design your book and arrange your images, keeping you up to date as I go.
Please note any additional products will be invoiced separately to your photoshoot package.
Stage 7 - Testimonials
After you have received your images, whether that be in digital, print or photobook form, I would love to hear from you! Testimonials are a fab way for me to build up my business, I would really appreciate a Facebook or google review or if you would prefer, just send me an email with your testimonial.
I also love seeing photos from your photoshoot framed and on the wall so if you get the chance, please send these to me.
